What is Reiki?
Reiki is a spiritual healing art with its roots in Japanese origin. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means “Universal Life” and (Ki) which means “Energy”. Reiki is not affiliated with any particular religion or religious practice. It is not massage nor is it based on belief or suggestion. It is a subtle and effective form of energy work using spiritually guided life force energy.
Reiki is the life energy that flows through all living things. Reiki Practitioners understand that everyone has the ability to connect with their own healing energy and use it to strengthen energy in themselves and help others. It is believed that a person’s “ki” or energy should be strong and free-flowing. When this is true a person’s body and mind is in a positive state of health. When the energy becomes weak or blocked it could lead to symptoms of physical or emotional imbalance.
A Reiki session can help ease tension and stress and can help support the body to facilitate an environment for healing on all levels – physical, mental, and emotional. A session is pleasant and relaxing and is often utilized for one’s personal wellness.
Reiki focuses on infusing healing energy into the body as well as removing old blockages which can occur from past traumas (physical or emotional) and current stress and anxiety. Reiki also clears and opens the chakras as well as balances one’s total energetic (auric) field.
Reiki is a non-invasive, gentle form of pain management and relief, and is safe for all ages
Although traditional Reiki involves “hands on” healing, if you are uncomfortable with healing touch, energy can effectively be sent into the body from a distance.
What is Tarot?
The tarot can be described as a soul map, a deep psychological guide to self-empowerment as depicted through 78 symbolic cards. An effective form of energy work using spiritually guided life force energy.
The Tarot is a deck of 78 cards, each with its own imagery, symbolism, and story. The 22 Major Arcana cards represent life’s karmic and spiritual lessons, and the 56 Minor Arcana cards reflect the trials and tribulations that we experience on a daily basis.
Tarot works through a process known as synchronicity, a term coined by psychologist Carl Jung to describe the temporally coincident occurrence of events. In synchronicity, there is no distinction between inner and outer. The choice of a card is exactly what your higher self already knows. This is what tarot readers call the conversation with your higher self. The cards always work. It’s not magic—tarot cards are a sacred mirror.
Tarot does not "tell the future". Rather, Tarot is a tool used to access intuition and inner wisdom to promote positive changes to assist the querent in manifesting their goals and dreams in the future.
Tarot is not affiliated with any religion, practice or belief system. Anyone can learn to read and interpret Tarot cards, and anyone can have their cards read. This can be for serious questions, or for respectful entertainment. It is up to the individual and their intent and desire.
What is an Intuitive-Sensitive / Empath?
There really is no singular answer to this question. We all experience the world around us and interpret the information we receive in different ways. Heidi Sawyer, a leader in the field of Highly Sensitive/Intuitive People says this:
"Intuitive-Sensitives have, in the majority of cases, developed an additional component to their sensitivity as a layer of emotional self-protection. This ‘extra’ part is an extra-sensory skill over and above the normal senses."
We all have moments of heightened awareness. Times when we seem to have a "knowing" about something that is about to occur, or we get a "gut" feeling about a person or situation. I believe Highly Sensitive People or Intuitives, take that "gut feeling" or "knowing" a step further. It is not just an inkling. The information we receive is as real as any other data or input we can see with our eyes or hear with our ears. Beyond receiving that information, we also are able to interpret the meaning behind it and how and where it may apply to serve and honor one's highest good, whether that be to heal old wounds or awaken new possibilities.
An empath feels and sometimes can absorb other people’s emotions and/or physical symptoms because of their high sensitivities. They often filter the world through their intuition and if left unchecked or unguided, being an empath can sometimes cause the individual to be overwhelmed with even the simplest of interactions.
With the right guidance and intention, one can incorporate their skill as an empath to help identify areas of cause or concern within others and use that information to help find relief, comfort or necessary growth, without causing any unnecessary harm or stress to the empath.
Sarah uses her intuitive and empathic abilities along with Reiki to be present with you, honor your highest good, and to support and help you heal and find your inner peace and knowing.
